Yemen updates:
February 2022
The Ministry of Telecom and Information Technology (MTIT) in Yemen finally completed the implementation of the new type approval system for Yemen after suspension of issuance of type approvals for the last months.
The new implemented type approval system provides a great advantage for the manufacturers and their distributers in Yemen as the new issued approvals will be valid for two years instead of one year.
This change in the validity will be applicable for already submitted applications and surely for all upcoming applications.
Within this change in the validity of type approvals, the authority increased the fees for new issued approvals by 200%.
The implementation of the new approval system in Yemen shall guarantee a quick handling of the applications in the future.
