In Azerbaijan, MC and IT approval refers to certifications issued by the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MC) and the Information Technologies (IT) sector. These approvals are necessary for various
telecommunications and IT equipment to ensure they comply with national standards and
regulations.
MC Approval: This certification is focused on telecommunications devices, ensuring they meet
technical and safety standards before being marketed or used in Azerbaijan.
IT Approval: This relates specifically to information technology products and services, verifying
their compliance with relevant regulations and performance standards.
Both approvals help protect consumers and ensure the reliability and safety of telecommunications and IT products in the Azerbaijani market. Manufacturers and importers must obtain these certifications to legally sell their products in the country.

Recently some large institutions began to publish news regarding separate Safety and EMC schemes. Even though there was no official word of this, a viral effect was created on the market and now many market participants are convinced that something has really changed
Please be aware that according to our investigation there are no new requirements in Azerbaijan and the information about established new separate EMC regulation in Azerbaijan has not been confirmed.
Several accredited certification bodies in Azerbaijan stated they could not provide a regulatory document from Azerbaijan which would define the accreditation criterion as national requirements for EMC or LVD.
CSIA's partners are in contact with various structures and certification bodies in Azerbaijan.
We asked one of the AZ certification bodies to comment on the situation and received the following answer:
"As you may know in Azerbaijan, there are no separate certification schemes for Safety and EMC and there is no such thing as an accreditation criteria for EMC or Safety - accreditation in Azerbaijan is given for the type of product (clothing, food, electronics ...). In case the client request that we issue two separate Certificates (one to cover LVD standards and the second to cover EMC standards) - we will be able to do it even though it is not mandatory, but the client will have to pay twice because 2 CoCs will be issued instead of one".
According to our information, a number of certification bodies in Azerbaijan have prepared a collective appeal to the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan with a description of the current situation around the sphere of technical regulation and a request for official clarifications. As soon as we have additional information, we will update this page.
As long as there are no official explanations and there is no confirmation that any changes have been made, the certification bodies in Azerbaijan, are ready to carry out certification work at the client's request according to the following schemes:
1) NCB AZSERTCENTER:
a) One AZS CoC (LVD+EMC)
b) One AZS LVD CoC + one AZS EMC CoC
2) NCB PROBO
One AZS LVD CoC + one AZS EMC CoC
In conclusion it should still be possible to issue one certificate for EMC and Safety or on client's request to issue separate certificates (for EMC and Safety) through different accredited CBs
