April 2018
On April 1, 2018, new technical regulations for radio electronic devices came in force in Ukraine. These technical regulations are subject to the Decision № 355 “On approval of the Technical Regulations for Radio Equipment” (UA RED TR) applied by The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 24.05.2017.
Any product approved using R&TTE documents will require a new approval by April of 2019 using RED documents (updated DoC and supporting test reports, etc.) as a basis for that approval.
There is a transition period from April 2018 to April 2019 where products approved on RTTE supporting documents can be sold freely, but starting April 2019 all products must comply with RED TR in Ukraine. This means a new approval, as stated above, using RED supporting documents must be submitted and completed by April 2019.

Type approval in Ukraine
UkrCEPRO (Ukrainian Centre for Certification of Products and Services) is an accreditation body in Ukraine responsible for certifying products, services, and systems to ensure they meet national and international safety, quality, and environmental standards. This certification is crucial for products and services in Ukraine, as it assures that they comply with established regulations and meet the necessary requirements for safety, reliability, and efficiency.
The UkrCEPRO approval typically involves:
Certification of products: Ensuring that products meet the regulatory standards and are safe for use
within the country and possibly for export.
Accreditation of quality management systems: Approving companies based on their adherence to
quality standards, often in alignment with ISO or other recognized frameworks.
Conformity assessment: This may include testing and evaluation to ensure compliance with technical
standards and laws.
UkrCEPRO is particularly relevant in sectors such as manufacturing, construction, food, medical
devices, and environmental management, as it ensures compliance with Ukrainian laws and
international standards. The approval process often involves product testing, factory inspections, and documentation review, leading to the issuance of a certification or approval that allows a product to be legally sold or used in Ukraine.
