Type approval in Ghana synapse
Importing field test samples without a type approval certificate from Ghana NCA is allowed for limited demonstration and test purposes only. Such import should be preceded by a letter to the Authority indicating the purpose of the test/demonstration, the duration, location, equipment specification including the power levels and frequency. The total number to be imported for such purpose should never exceed 10 pieces.
The letter also should indicate what happens to the devices after the test or the demonstration.
Lastly, an officer of the Authority should be invited to witness such test.
As stated above a local representative is required for type approval in Ghana. Should you choose to use CSIA’s services an LoA between the manufacture and CSIA would be required.
