Seychelles updates
January 2024
The new authority in charge of overseeing all forms of telecoms, including numbering and approval is Seychelles Communications Regulatory Authority (SCRA). Details are provided in the Communications Law of 2023, which outlines the SCRA's authority.
This modification will not have any effect on the type approval procedure. Note that the former regulatory body responsible for overseeing certification, still exists, but will now only deal with issues relating to information technology.
May 2021
The Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT) issued a new procedure for the Type Approval of Radio Communication Equipment in Seychelles on May 4, 2021. The Procedure confirms that type approval is now mandatory in Seychelles.
