The Office Tchadien de Régulation des Télécommunications (OTRT) is the regulatory body responsible for overseeing telecommunications and information technology services in Chad. OTRT Type Approval refers to the certification process for telecommunications equipment and devices in the country.
In Chad, Type Approval issued by the OTRT ensures that telecommunications equipment such as mobile phones, network infrastructure, and other communication devices comply with national technical standards and regulations. Chad OTRT label requirements:
The label requirement for Chad are the Logo, certificate number and approval date.
Example of certificate number: 88/ARCEP/DG/DRN/SA/2017
Approval date format example (October 22, 2017 is 22/10/17)
If the product is too small to fit all the compliance items on it the Label can be placed in the User Guide.
You should try your best to have the certificate number on the product to avoid issues in customs.
