Sri Lanka: New Type Approval Requirements
Starting December 16th, 2020, the Telecommunications Regulatory Commission of Sri Lanka (TRCSL)
published new Type Approval procedures which are applicable to all RTTE devices intended to be
imported, marketed, manufactured or used in Sri Lanka.
All products not approved by December 16, 2020 must have approval under the new RTTE Type Approval Rules
All type approval certificates issued prior to December 16, 2020 under the old rules will expire automatically
on June 17, 2021 and those products must undergo a new type approval process.
